Psychology Practice

I specialize in individual psychotherapy, with over 30 years of clinical experience serving the G.L.B.T. communities of San Francisco and the East Bay. I teach a wide variety of techniques and provide tools for you to increase your creativity and success, for both your professional and interpersonal lives. This varies from short term problem solving, to long-term depth therapy.

My approach is warm, sharing and compassionate, as I lead you through an interactive experience of cognitive and behavioral therapy that is individually designed to suite your needs and desires. My methods and suggestions include sharing experiences, assigning homework and reading materials, and pushing ones boundaries to achieve your goals. I facilitate three ongoing, long-term Jungian/Gestalt Gay Men’s groups, and one mixed men/women’s group. In addition, I have trained in Jungian Analysis for over 22 years, utilizing dream analysis, guided journeys, and the best alternative methods.

I have a Ph.D. from the University of Washington and have received extensive training in cognitive/behavioral approaches in psychotherapy. I spent a year as a full time intern at the V.A. hospital in Seattle (involved with drug and alcohol counseling,) and taught sex therapy for over 6 years in the Human Sexuality program at the U.C.S.F. Medical School.
